Thanks Hadi, that's the magic constructor to use for InCloud. I think it's a little hard to find how to make a simple connection to InCloud. It might be obvious to YouTrack veterans, but a 4 parameter constructor has a lot that can go wrong, from needing 'false' for useSSL to putting the "youtrack" in the path. It would be nice if this info was front and center in the docs, or at least the Readme.md.

IF you're passing in the URL, the correct format should be:

connection = new Connection("xxxxx.myjetbrains.com", 80, false, "youtrack");

I've added my project as a zip to this thread. Look at the BDPlay.cs file where I make my connection. You can just run the solution from within Visual Studio. There is only 1 button on a form which creates the connection when clicked.

I just noticed that all dependencies other than EasyHttp are signed so it should now be possible to sign YouTrackSharp too (given that EasyHttp is maintained by the same crew as YouTrackSharp). Any chance on getting this moving?

Mark, can't reproduce this here. Are you posting from a root account? Are you able to create an issue manually in your YT installation?

Yep. Unfortunately it's an issue with the way YT is currently emitting Json. Hoping it will be fixed soon. I'll put in the workaround.

On a similar note, I added the "Created" field to Issue.cs as a long. It comes across no problem.

AssigneeName isn't custom for me, I'm running YouTrack 3.0.4 (build #1819 [07-Sep-2011 19:48], here's the command generated:

I'd like to get access to the "ETA" custom field. But "AssigneeName" is stock as far as I can tell. We havent modified it.

Ah. So this a problem of custom fields....OK. That's going to be an issue :(. Let me think how to solve it. Will, is yours the same?

I tried the latest, still no dice. I grabbed the source, found the command being run. "Assignee" was actually "AssigneeName" in my results. I updated line 48 of Issue.cs to "AssigneeName". Recompiled and it's working now.

It shouldn't be the custom fields since a lot of the values right now are custom fields. Also, I've added a new one you had numberInProject and it still works....

Shane, Will, I've just pushed a new version that changes the way issues are parsed. Can you take a look? Shane, can you offer me some more details? I'm really baffled by this.

I'm running into the same issue. If I do a .GetAllIssuesForProject() or a .GetIssuesBySearch("#unresolved"), the Assignee is always null.

EasyHttp no longer relies on StructureMap

I can't reproduce this. I've created a new test despite it working and the test also works.

This is an issue withYouTrack. I've talked to the dev and they are going to fix it. I'm going to change this to make another workaround for now but there's no easy fix for this.

What version of the server are you running against? I'll try and reproduce this.

I see the same problem when creating a new issue and then attaching a file to it.

If I fail to re-authenticate before calling "AttachFileToIssue" then I get an authorisation failure.

The exception doesn't happen anymore but now the Issue object has all it's fields set to NULL. If I run the above code on a YouTrack with more than one issue then the issues come back correctly. If there is only one issue then I get one issue back but that issue has no information in it.

I've fixed this temporarily for now. It's not ideal but helps get around the problem. Fix requires more work.
